A fresh coat of paint can transform a home; ours was no exception. However, as we admired our newly painted house, we couldn't help but notice one glaring inconsistency: our charming front porch swing.
The weathered paint on the swing now stood out in stark contrast to our vibrant new exterior. The old swing seemed to be shouting, "Hey, I need a makeover too!"
So, to prepare the swing for its own makeover, we began by power washing it to remove dirt, grime, and any peeling paint. We then sanded the surface to remove any remaining old paint and ensure optimal adhesion for the new coat.
To coordinate the weathered swing with our home's fresh exterior, we used leftover white paint from our home's exterior makeover for the swing. We applied several coats using a paint sprayer to ensure a smooth and even finish. Allowing each coat to dry completely before applying the next.
The revitalized swing now perfectly complements our home's fresh exterior, adding a touch of classic charm to our Cape Cod-style home. We love this cozy spot on our front porch to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
